AsyouknowBob, this year's Yule chapbook will contain two Brand! New! stories. Through the wonders of caffeine, we have achieved titles for those stories, to wit: "Moon on the Hills," and "Hidden Resources." The book itself will be titled Halfling Moon.

Off to SRM Galactic Headquarters in a few to worry at the new mailing program, then home to the joys and pleasures of updating databases, with a side order of bookkeeping.

Er, #16? As far as I can see Eidolon was #14 last Yule. Oh, or is Misfits officially #15? The SRM Publisher site doesn't give it a number so I was thinking that it was an unnumbered one.

(Have you written the stories yet, or is that added to your "to do" list?)

I will mention this to The Owner. Misfists is indeed #15.

Not yet, though I started sketching in "Resources" and Steve has a concept for "Moon."

Not a problem, I just saw '16' and wondered if I'd missed something. Misfits order just placed...

Duh ... the info was down in the more info area ... somewhat changed now, more changes after I can scan the real cover.

Thanks!

Steve

Ah, I missed clicking on that (knowing that I wanted it anyway I didn't bother getting more information)...

"Misfits"?

I'll note in passing that, as someone who likes to get each new Yule book as it comes out, I was totally unaware that "Misfits" was such a thing. I had assumed that, for whatever reason, there was no Yule book this year.

Bopping over to SRM, I see that "Misfits" is shown down at the bottom of the page, and if I click on it I can learn that it is, in fact, AitLU #15. That seems... harder to find than usual. I'd assume I'm just thick, except I'm apparently not the only one.

Just sayin'.

Now I'm confused.

Let's see if I can straighten us both out.

Misfits is not the Yule chapbook; it is "Adventures in the Liaden Universe® Number 15." The two are not self-exclusive.

Halfling Moon, as advertised at the top of this thread, is the Yule chapbook; it is also "Adventures in the Liaden Universe® Number 16."

Or, another way -- Misfits is An Extra, due to be published by the end of September.

Has there been an expansion or revision of Misfits since it's publication in Jim Baen's Universe of 2007-8? 'Cause if so, I'll have to skimp and save for a bit first...

Just tyop straightening. This is the dead tree edition for the folks who prefer dead tree.

I do prefer dead tree editions, but all the bookcases are so overflowing that it's getting a tad hazardous to walk in here, so when possible electronic editions are advised. Maybe you can weave in something about that weatherman into a future book or short story. Sometimes it's good to meet previous characters again.
