In Beautiful Theory, there are about a dozen Liaden Universe(R) short stories available through the Sony Ebook Store. I have just spent half-an-hour on the site and cannot prove that this is so. My hope was for an URL that I could send people to. Can someone more tech-savvy than I am find this for me?

Abundant Spanish Aunts.

I think they're pretty clearly not there. They're not findable by Sony's search function (not by Sharon Lee, Steve Miller, nor Liad nor Liaden), nor do they appear in the Science Fiction, Short Stories, or Bundles category. They also don't appear in the list of upcoming titles on Sony's ebook store. Google also doesn't find them.

Thank you; that duplicates my results.

*Sigh*

It would be nice if people told us this stuff...

Sony reader is one of the formats available on Baens webscriptions pages. If the stories in question are included in one of the Baen liaden e-books then that would be the best place to send somebody

Yes, she said VERY PATIENTLY, we are sending people to Webscriptions too.

However, I have had people write to me who (1) have only just gotten their Sony EReader and! who have found us (somehow) in that seething mess Sony calls a website. That being so, it seemed reasonable to give those with Sony EReaders the option to download from the Sony Store, if they so desired.

Short Stories?

I've just spent some time searching in the Sony eBook store -accessed through the eBook Library software and not the website, also with no luck whatsoever, searching on your names ... and other assorted potential things...

Now there are 168 "titles" of SF short story collections... none look like Liaden collections. Are you included in any anthologies?

Strange ... never bothered to look before; I avoid buying from Sony if at all possible because their software is so clunky,

I can't blame you for avoiding buying from Sony; their store alone would drive me 'round the twist.

The stories being available at Sony came about in a complicated way; the deal with brokered through Tekno Books; the contract was non-exclusive and, we reasoned, more exposure was Good.

I do know that some people found them, because they wrote to us, asking after reading order and suchlike. It's been awhile since the last one, though, so perhaps they've fallen out of catalog. Ghod knows, we didn't make any mon$y from the experiment...

they were there about 9 months ago along with some short stories by Wen Spencer & Michelle West. In the last week or 2, while all the stories were still in my purchased books, they were not anywhere in the Sony ebook library store.

Still not there today. the store tells me that I can download them again and lets me do so, but when I click on the title, I'm taken to a blank page. hopefully they'll make the conversion when sony changes over to epub at the end of the year.
