rolanni: (walk in the snow)

Yanno? I think I'm giving up on the whole cleaning the house thing.

In other news, it's snowing. The weatherbeans are calling an upper snow-fall of three inches, closely followed by rain, freezing rain and rain. And where, I ask you, is the fun in that?

As reported elsewhere, tomorrow is Monday, at the conclusion of which there will be seven more days until winter break.

I did get a teensy bit of writing done; apparently this book is going for the teensy-bit model. I sorta prefer the white-hot-heat-of-creative-genius model, myself, though it is harder on the scenery.

Fans of Mozart will be pleased to learn that he is asleep on the the rocker and snoring like a champ. Hexapuma is conked out on the african atop the bird food bins in the kitchen, and Scrabble sleeps with the heffalumps is resting on top of her head in the co-pilot's chair in Steve's office.

Everybody stay warm, and we'll see you on the flipside.

Raining over here. I'd prefer the snow.

Yeah, I prefer snow, too.

Is that seven days or seven *work* days?

Seven work days; if I count the weekend, it's too depressing.

I, too, prefer the "white-hot-heat-of-creative-genius" model. I'm about 26 pages into the brainstorming of an MS dissertation that I'd like to plump up to 80 pages or so, before shaking it back down to a polished, professional piece of work.

Sigh... I know (sort of) what information I must convey; I'm just having trouble shoving it into the categories they want.

I'm really looking forward to being done with this, and disappearing into "Mouse and Dragon" and "Ghost Ship" for awhile.

Snow for you, sleet and then heavy rains for New York. And it was such a great, dry, sunny, day yesterday. Oh well, Christmas in eleven more days, then New Year. 2010 all ready.

Staying warm will not be a problem - 40 degrees Celsius predicted for Melbourne, Australia tomorrow. Some freezing rain sounds pretty good to me.

Always like to hear what your felines are up to; it's like having virtual pets, only better.

Cleaning the house?

I gave up on the house cleaning thing long ago. Or perhaps I was defeated by the piles. I can't see what the harm has been. I just don't invite any but my closest friends inside. May have something to do with my still being single, hmm. In your case, I suppose it may depend on how clean Steve likes the place, and depending on that, how much you like Steve around the place. That could work both ways I guess.
