I've always liked Ted Olson. The essay is a good example of why.

The standard of "beauty" being advanced by the high fashion industry is, in my humble opinion, pathological. Give me NORMAL women, not sad creatures who look like famine victims.

What would help would be for people to simply STOP buying any product that is in any way associated with any fashion house that continues this insanity.

Like that will even happen.

I loved that Ted also made the point that we're being told what is attractive by those to whom women are NOT attractive. Err. I think I got that right.

PS I also liked the idea that the UK in 2006 was more evolved than the US in 2010.
