Mugged by a flock of at least a dozen robins as I turned up the art museum drive.

Um, February 25?

In other news, it's raining like a sonofagun. I had foresightfully brought the Big Freaking Umbrella with, and still got a thorough soaking on the walk up from the parking lot. Slushy and slidey underfoot -- must've had some snow mixed in with the deluge up here on the mountain. Have mopped up as best I can, and blotted the newly shorn hair dry. The BFU is cuddled up to the radiator, steaming gently; and my purple backpack may be dry by, oh, Sunday.

How's the weather where you are?

Mixed precip. But you knew that.

Wife saw a flock of 50+/- robins the other day. They're here all winter, but mostly work over the berries and such, in the puckerbrush. These were out in a bare field.

rain at 6:50. Big glomping snowflakes by 7. Looks to alternate between the two all day.

Thankfully, not so much wind, so it shouldn't be too bad.

Don't hate me, but we've had a real nice couple of days. Temperatures about 20 (centigrade -- 68 fahrenheit?), blue skies, gentle or no winds... felt like spring, actually. They say it's going to drop back down to about 15 next week (59?) but at least in this part of the world, we're having early spring. Nice. I saw an early butterfly of some kind today, apparently enjoying the sunshine.

Thankfully we have no new snow, although the forecast had called for some. Looks like we will mainly get wind and that's ok with me.

It's froggy here. A decidedly grey day. With snow and slush on the ground.

It snows here every couple of years or so, and rarely sticks. This past week was one of the rare periods. It's been clear and cold for the past couple of days. There are scattered lumps of snow in the shade, but most of it is gone, now. We have to watch out for ice EVERY year, so it's nice to have some of the risk come in a more amusing form.

It's raining heavily here right now, supposed to change to snow by afternoon, then keep snowing for the next 3-4 days. National Weather Service is saying 6-13 inches "possible" for right here.

Yeah, robins in Delaware, too... they stay all year, though they spend most of the winter in the wooded areas. Couple of nice days recently, early in the mornings, I've been hearing their territorial calls, as though they're really contemplating setting up housekeeping already.

We got the rain, and have moved into the "snowing like crazy" category (at least in Princeton, where I work). Big flakes sticking to the trees, wet, slushy roads, looks to become a complete mess by this evening. I'm a little vague on the forecast amounts - could be up to a foot, IIRC.

I need a weather icon... but the global climate change one will have to do for now. Earlier in the week we were predicted for a foot of snow last night and today. It's crept down in the predictions all week and all we got was maybe .1" of rain... and huge wind gusts. Wind. LOTS OF WIND. The windows in the 5th floor office rattle at times as it's funneled throught the silver towers. My briefcase was light this morning and was blowing up into the air on its own accord. WIND.

Right now it is just cloudy here. The predictions are for the winds to pick up this evening, and the accumulating snow to start at the same time, as the storm center "goes retrograde" and goes up into New York State, and then settles back down over the Poconos. (Shades of Hurricane Agnes!) At any rate, there is a very good chance that the conditions could get so bad up in northeastern PA tonight and tomorrow that they may have to close down I-80, I-81, and I-84 in that region because of very high winds (sustained up to 50 MPH) and blowing snow. Should be interesting.

The sun is shining now but we are supposed to get snow this afternoon. Radar shows it is snowing all around but not here. This is a good thing, we probably have a couple of feet on the ground already.

It looks like a snow globe. It was raining when I got to work; I know they won't call early closing until there is at least an inch on the road (as opposed to the coating that is currently on the cars and parking lot.) I am not looking forward to the drive home, but once there I don't have to leave until it's over.

We're having Seattle-style weather: cold, with overcast skies and intermittent rain, plus occasional fog rolling in from the Bay.

Sunny & chilled - 13 degrees, 7 degrees windchill

There are small patches of snow melting on the sidewalks. I just attacked the snowbank on the south side of our sidewalk so that the sidewalk itself is mostly in sun instead of mostly in shade.

Weather forecast calls for sunny and warming through the weekend, with a high Saturday near freezing.

Still winter in Iowa

The storm missed us, so we got mugged by the cold. Yesterday we had a high of 5 fahrenheit, and today will get up to 12 fahrenheit. Almost a foot of snow on the ground, except where the drifts are higher. We'll probably get a few more inches in the next week or so, but it's supposed to be warm (32 fahrenheit) and sunny on Saturday, when I wrangle a giggle of Girl Scouts for a cookie booth outdoors near a Wal-Mart entrance.

Right now it's gray, mostly fog though. It'll hopefully burn off in a couple of hours. Most of the trees are still bare, but the cherry blossoms are out and there are daffodils in gardens and mustard in fields. Spring has sprung here.

Bright, sunny and windy in Wisconsin. Yesterday we had flurries all day and then got a 5 inch dumping of lake effect snow during the 2 hours of rush hour. It's all pretty again outside, and I'm thrilled to be having sunshine today. We also have robins who overwinter here, mostly in wooded areas.

Then got Sunshine, then More Snow, then More Sunshine...

'Tis a very confusing day...

The gulls have roosted in the parking lots because the snow has left them little-where-else. They're obnoxious though - moreso than blue jays.

Baltimore seems to be ducking the snow -- mostly rain last night and the predictions for tonight keep getting pushed back. We're going ahead with the bookclub tonight - more than I thought would happen! I expected to be closed today.

Here in Central Ohio it's what I call freezin' freakin' cold! 25 degrees with a wind chill in the low teens and it just started to snow again. I was hoping that would hold off until after my job interview tomorrow, so I would n't have to worry about wht shoes I'm going to wear.

Snow, snow, snow all day. It started coming down before I got up this morning and is supposed to continue through tomorrow along with high winds. Saturday and Sunday might feature snow showers too. I saw many dozens of robins flying around in the snow this morning. They usually start coming out of the woods and onto lawns at about this time of the year here, but not when the lawns are full of snow.

In the low teens here in the far western suburbs of Chicago. We did get another couple inches of snow last night, about 5 or 6 total remain on the ground. The east coast seems to be having a much more exciting winter than we are this year.
