Word Press Question

I know there's a way to do it, because I see all you clever people (you know who you are) getting it done, but heck if I can figure it out.

I would like to make an entry into my brand! new! WordPress blog and have it reflected here at Eagles Over the Kennebec. The only plug-ins and discussions of same I can find are several years old.

Anybody want to pitch me a clue?

LJ-XP (http://lj-xp.com/) still works despite its age. It's what I use, and I installed it for a client a few months ago with no problems.

Thanks! I did try that one, imported the zip file into the plug-ins and thought we were cooking with gas, only to have WordPress inform me that the plug-in lacked a correct header. Which I gather is Something Fatal.

Yeh, I'm using LJ-XP on mine and it works great.

I, also, am using LJ-XP 2.0.6 and it works fine on Wordpress 2.9.2. The header problem seems vaguely familiar of a problem I had once with my husband's blog. I had to do some manual deletion via SQL but it hasn't been a problem recently.

I might suggest <http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/livejournal-crossposter-remix/>; it's basically a fork of the original LJ-XP codebase, but actively maintained, and updated to work with more modern versions of Wordpress.

I just loaded it, tested it against a livejournal account, and it worked fine. No editing necessary.

One suggestion: create a throwaway LJ account, and do all of your cross-post experimentation with that BEFORE deciding to post all of your WordPress posts to your *real* LJ account.
