As the day continues
Monday, August 2nd, 2010 01:29 pmI sat out under the maple tree with my pen and yellow pad, enjoying the breeze and the birds and occasionally scribbling notes, until the sun came 'round and forced me inside.
Birds sighted: The Usual Suspects -- chickadees and house sparrows -- and a cedar waxwing, with the dramatic eye treatment and pretty yellow underskirt.
The work with the pen and the pad yielded somewhat better results. I think, I report cautiously, that I Have It, all the way to the end, with the exception of one small-but-important detail that I need to talk to Steve about, except Steve is on the Road to Raleigh (where's Crosby and Hope when you need 'em?), having reported in from New Hampster some hours ago, and making very good time indeed. OK, well. It'll get worked out, one way or another.
In the meantime, laundry's started and I'd better transcribe these notes before I forget what they say -- then see about rustling up some supper.
