From [livejournal.com profile] kristine_smith, a must-read article on introversion and extraversion.

Money quote: Solitude, quite literally, allows introverts to hear themselves think.

That was a fine article. And here's another one! http://sandratayler.livejournal.com/615571.html

These have been especially useful for me to read, because I'm an off-the-scale extravert, and it's real work for me to get properly into an introvert mindset.

And here's another one!

Thanks for the link! Kiki's very lucky to have a mom who not only understands, but is willing to work with her to maintain a comfort zone.

Wow, thank you for that. I should print it out and post it to my cube wall at work. Maybe then my coworkers will begin to understand why I wear my itouch earbuds in between phone calls, hate attending meetings and always volunteering to stay and work the phones during in house office get togethers. Oh, yes, I work a computer support call desk. I'm good working one on one but the group thing...

It is a good article.

Then there's the classic Atlantic column (http://www.theatlantic.com/magazine/archive/2003/03/caring-for-your-introvert/2696/).

Remember, someone you know, respect, and interact with every day is an introvert, and you are probably driving this person nuts.

Aha! I remember reading that one, a long time ago, then lost it. Thanks for the link!

Introvert Article

I have a good friend who has taken a test and proved to be an introvert. It's so true if that introvert person starts talking shut up and listen carefully. It doesn't happen that often! But pity the poor extrovert: we tend to really put our feet in our mouths much more often causing great annoyance and irritation. Sometimes going un noticed by us. A good way to not win friends and not to infuence people. As for happiness: I'm not that kind of extrovert. I too have taken a personality test. I go more for accomplishment than happiness. So wish me luck.
Gus too is an extrovert. If you were here he would insist on showing you his collection of doggie chewing type bones. He's very proud of his bones.
