Bridge of Birds was an awesome book! ^_^ I should dig up new copies of the other two sometimes.

You think that's pathetic? I was thinking it was amazing given how much time you spend writing after you come home from your day-job.

Well...but I like to read. Reading is what got me into this gig -- I had a couple book a week habit there for a long time, and I'm a slow reader. One of the (many) things that's not printed on the membership card when you decide to do this Writing Thing is that (1) you'll have less time (a lot less time) to read and (2) you'll never read the same way again.

I was actually wondering about that a bit. I mean, if you identified yourself as a reader as well as a writer.

I was a Lit major in college and for a while I could not read the same way, but I reverted back to my old habits after a while:D.

It is interesting to think about things in this way though. My husband and I are contra dancers and people have asked me if I don't want to be a caller from time to time. I think it would change my relationship to dancing in much the same way that writing changes the way one reads too. So far I haven't wanted to give up my relationship to dance.

We, your appreciative fans, are glad that you write. Some of us are anxious for next August. And let me say that I'm thrilled to be anxious for next August too:D

I read Till We Have Faces in the late 60s/early 70's, and rather enjoyed it. Havne't read it since, os I'm not sure how I'd react to it as an adult.
