Even though you probably don't want to think about writing ANYTHING, I have to ask. Will there be a winter chapbook with some more Surebleak snippets or even side stories to fill in around the edges of the whole grand sweep of the Liaden Universe? Yes we have GHOST SHIP to anticipate, but that's a whole long year away...whine, sniffle, beg...

Depends on a bunch of things. There's the Carousel Tides book launch at the end of this month, for instance, which kinda requires some of my attention, here and there. And, we're moving SRM Galactic Headquarters back into the basement of the Cat Farm in November, a task which is. . .non-trivial.

We do want to do a holiday chapbook, in a general, nebulous sort of way -- at least on my side (my brain is kinda storied out at the moment. Must! read! more! books!). In reality, it may turn out to be a New Year's, Epiphany, or even Valentine's Day chapbook.

As soon as we know, we'll let you know.

For those of us who have no personal knowledge of How These Things Work, do you have any idea of when Ghost Ship will appear as an Eleactronic ARC for purchase at Baen?

Toni has confirmed, in answer to Reader Queries in Another Venue, that there will be a Ghost Ship eArc, so that's one hurdle cleared -- eArcs are not guaranteed.

I think that the eARC, when there is one, comes up two to three months prior to publication.

So, for Ghost Ship, with an August 2011 street date, the eArc should happen sometime between May and June. This is not written in stone; sometimes the eArcs go up earlier; sometimes, they're delayed.

But at least we have a ballpark. . .
