It’s a lovely day at the ocean with rolling grey clouds and a gentle surf.  Y’all should definitely come on down!

Now, off to Beggar’s Ride to talk with Jeanne and do some set-up.

I wish there were a way to do this privately, but I figure that you're more likely to see these comments than read email -- or at least I hope you see this. I've been looking forward to this trip ever since you announced the party -- plane reservations were made, reservations at the Seaview were made even before the
Secret Word discount was announced.

And I'm not coming. I'm near tears with disappointment, and the whys and wherefores are unimportant now, but I won't be there. My sister will be coming, so half of us will get to meet you, but I won't. So when you meet a nice gray-haired lady who tells you that she the sister of the Pat from Maryland that you nearly got the desk from, you'll know that it's me she's talking about.

I wish you a wonderful launch party -- I got my copies from Amazon yesterday -- and I hope that everything goes splendidly.
