Here's a new cozy-mystery for you (start of a new series):Murder Past Due, by Miranda James.

The protagonist is a librarian and he is owned/partnered with a Maine Coon by the name of Diesel. Diesel's description reminds me so very much of Hex. Note that the cover art was done by someone
who has not seen Hex. Hex is MUCH better looking.

It is a light, quick read...at least for me.
