One day, with blizzard

I don’t think I really want to know how many pounds of snow I shoveled today.  Suffice to say that I am a Tired Woman.

Progress on The Book Presently Known as George:
17,677 words/100,000 OR 17.68% complete

“Yes, ma’am,” he said. “I have — if you please, Grand-aunt — a question of protocol.”

“A pressing question of protocol, I apprehend. Very well, child; you have my attention. Stand forth and ask.”

I know the feeling. I just uncovered my car. I had decided to wait until it was done snowing... but the wind just would not quit.

I'm rather worried I will have to do it all again in the morning.

Snow

I think maybe where you live you need a snow blower.

Glad to see that Grand Aunt Kareen is still with us. I appreciate her a lot.

The snippets are just great. Thank you! They are also wonderfully diverse, for a book that is still in fairly early stages.

I wonder what Liaden standards for exactness in stating relationships is (particularly in translation to English. The "child" above cannot be Pat Rin's son, as Kareen is his grandmother, and I do not believe there is anyone alive, save Aelli, who could be referred to so. Strictly speaking, Val Con and Miri's child must be speaking, which implies the passage of some years. But I believe the yos'Galen younger generation, that is, Shan, Anthora, and Nova, referred to Aunt Kareen, as well as Val Con. And they have a considerable number of young ones, old enough that George could be set immediately after current events.

I know, I know, George in just a tot, and has to have time to grow up. But --- WANT NOW! I love corresponding with my favorite authors in this Internet Age. But they must get tired of us whining at them.

I spent the pre-Christmas week near Boston. I think I escaped back to Texas just in time! Of course the photo ops will be marvelous, but I had no snow boots.

That sentence above is pretty unclear. I meant that Shan and his sisters, as well as Val Con, referred to Kareen as "Aunt Kareen."
