Date: 2010-12-28 05:07 pm (UTC)I wonder what Liaden standards for exactness in stating relationships is (particularly in translation to English. The "child" above cannot be Pat Rin's son, as Kareen is his grandmother, and I do not believe there is anyone alive, save Aelli, who could be referred to so. Strictly speaking, Val Con and Miri's child must be speaking, which implies the passage of some years. But I believe the yos'Galen younger generation, that is, Shan, Anthora, and Nova, referred to Aunt Kareen, as well as Val Con. And they have a considerable number of young ones, old enough that George could be set immediately after current events.
I know, I know, George in just a tot, and has to have time to grow up. But --- WANT NOW! I love corresponding with my favorite authors in this Internet Age. But they must get tired of us whining at them.
I spent the pre-Christmas week near Boston. I think I escaped back to Texas just in time! Of course the photo ops will be marvelous, but I had no snow boots.
