Yes, yes: "Spam LiveJournal" was not on the to-do list.

An advertent reader tells me that the Locus Poll is now out. They note that eligible Lee & Miller, and Lee, novels are not listed, and neither were many of their favorite works of 2010. They also note that they made ample use of the write-in options.

The Locus Poll is a reader poll. Anyone can vote. Please only vote once. Mr. Kelly takes a dim, dim view of "ballot box stuffing." As he should. If you participate, please also be truthful about your gender. Mr. Kelly has in the past had a difficult time believing that women read SF in numbers.

I'm afraid I'm a bit unfamiliar with how this works - is the first publication of a book the part which counts for what awards-year it fits in? Or does the paperback the next year count? For example, does Fledgling count for 2010? Or, hmm, what about The Dragon Variation?

I guess the most helpful thing to me (if you have time) is being pointed to a list of which of your books are currently eligible. I'm reasonably sure about Saltation, Mouse and Dragon, and Carousel Tides, though, so I'll start with those. Thanks for pointing out the poll!

In general, and in case you find yourself facing another such beast in future, eligibility of a work is based on first appearance in print.

For Lee and Miller, then, 2010 only saw two original/eligible-for-this-poll novels:

Saltation (SF) Sharon Lee and Steve Miller
Mouse and Dragon (SF) Sharon Lee and Steve Miller

And for Sharon Lee, one novel:
Carousel Tides (Fantasy) Sharon Lee
