rolanni: (what it's like)

Wrote all day to the tune of 4,082 words, including those perennial crowd-pleasers “the end.” The first draft of “Intelligent Design” is complete. It needs work. Oh, my, doesn’t it just need work. But what it gets right now is a comfy rest while I reap the just rewards of industry.

By which I mean that, tomorrow, I’ll start doing the taxes.

Why no, the fun never does stop; why do you ask?

For some reason, it's running through my head to the tune of "All Through the Night".

There she goes, just made of awesome,
That Sharon Lee.
Steve, Hex, Mozart: awesome foursome
With Sharon Lee.
Not to mention Val Con, Miri...
Listing all would make us weary!
(And, at times, a little teary.)
Yay, Sharon Lee!

...Scrabble! I knew I'd missed somebody. Line three would neither have rhymed nor scanned, but that's no excuse. My abject apologies.

Yes, congrats on the first draft. Reminds me I am getting ready for my tax lady to do my taxes. There's no way I would do my own taxes.

Good luck on yours,
C.

My son and daughter-in-law just finished a half marathon for beating breast cancer (I'm a survivor). He did it in 2 hrs, 57 mins, and she did it in 3 hrs, 30 mins. She claims he beat her because his legs are longer - some truth in that. It's only the second marathon for them.

Congratulations to them for finishing.

Taxes

I used to do taxes. This was thru AARP, Taxes for the Elderly. Occasionally for youngers, too. It wasn't easy. After 13 years I wore out, however, when I take mine to be done, they are properly organized, and can be zoomed thru fast. But we didn't do business taxes, or really complicated ones. If anyone buys or sells stock, keep track of when, and for how much! Some companies used to be very poor about getting that information to their customers. I think the computer records are keeping those facts more available now.
