I hate to file

...but it's done. Yes, the big pile of filing that used to be right over there, a teetering, two-foot-hight threat to the continued health of cat- and humankind. Seems to me I just had a filing marathon a couple months ago. Where does all this paper come from?

Argh.

*I only wrote a couple hundred New new words; the rest was cutting and pasting bits from three draft one chapters into a single file, and then smoothing everything so it reads like it was always meant to be one chapter. Which, in fact, it was.

I understand about filing, says she who spent part of her Christmas vacation shoveling out her office. I wish I knew where the paper comes from, because I'd send it back.

I transferred ENDGAME files to the new iMac, and finally got around to breaking down several long files into chapters. Now working on chapter 5. Chapter 6 (or possibly 7) is already mostly finished--oh the joy of writing out of sequence. I hope it all fits when it's done.
