So, the revisions on the first half of Dragon Ship — I have no idea what I’m doing. Move on — nothing to see; this is normal.

Also? The page proofs for the mass market of Carousel Tides arrived this morning. Due back in North Carolina on November 21. Which means they have to be in FedEx’s hands at 4 p.m. on Friday. Good thing I’ve perfected the art of reading in my sleep.

Oh, and the floor guys will be here tomorrow, directly after the stove guy, who’s due in at 7 a.m.

Gah.

Meltdowns etc.

I hope that since you have given yourself some time for the meltdown that it won't be as bad as a suprise meltdown would be. You can stock up on junk food, chocolate or whatever. A stove guy arriving at 7 am would be a meltdown for me. Or worse, having said he would arrive, the stove guy not arriving.

I have to say that I'm very sorry for the gal, I think it was a gal, whose roof blew away. I heard on the TV that they were having wind gusts of up to 110 mph in the big storm in CO yesterday. Hope it was better today.

Thanks for your kind thoughts,Claire. No condo living for 2 weeks as the exhaust stack for both the furnace and the hot water heater went with the roof but we (and the cats) are staying with friends who have a basement guest suite. The reported winds were 123mph plus for Georgetown so you can see why the roof gave up the struggle. Fortunately, insurance takes all including the windshield on the truck which had a close encounter with the parts of the roof on their way to the lake. Jenny from CO

Wow. I heard from the gal without a roof that the wind was up to 123 mph. That's a category what? hurricane strength. Unbelieveable. Glad the insurance will pay.
