Yes, Disney has been doing this stuff forever on, as Cory says, "the ancient legal principle of fuck you I said so and I can afford more lawyers than you so shut up." They don't even pretend to buy some of the stuff they use; just lift the story out of a book and the first thing the author knows, they're getting a letter from Legal Mouse telling them to cease and desist.
