1.  Free Reading!  "Landed Alien," a Liaden Universe® short story, is now up and waiting for you to read it, right here (scroll down to get to the story).

2.  The ebook edition of Dragon Ship is now available for purchase from Baen Ebooks.  This edition does fix the continuity errors which were present in the eArc and is, to the best of my knowledge, the exact words, in the exact order that they appear in the hardcover edition.

3.  The authors' working notes for Mouse and Dragon are still on auction for the next 23-ish hours.  Current bid is $198.75 $202.50  Will it break $200 $225?  The uncertainty!  The drama!  The pretty green folder -- here, take a look.

4.  The inventory of Things Ruined In the Flood, including books that are still wet, continues.  I am a Virgo, and therefore have a high tolerance for fiddly little details, but, yanno?  Enough is enough, already.

5.  In related news, the painter just phoned to say that she's starting work tomorrow at 8:30 a.m.  The electrician is due at 9:30.  Socks is gonna have some Serious Supervising to do.

Yes! I have been waiting for months for this, and it was well worth it! Thank you. Kara is one of my favorite characters, and it is a great story. Thanks again, and hopefully everything will go smoothly for a bit as painters, plumbers etc. work their magic at your place. Kathy

Go Socks! I am sure they will do an excellent job under his supervision. I had envisioned the folder going much higher. Hope it picks up soon!

It has broken $225, will it break $250?

Ah, so Socks is the supervisory type. I've got one who never meets a stranger. The other two retire to the "den" (read: bedroom) where they can nap undisturbed, but I usually have to ride herd on him whenever repair people come over as his attempts to make friends usually put him right in the way, bless his little wattle-belly heart. . . .

I read and enjoyed the Dragonship eArc, I've got the Dragonship eBook ... what continuity problems should I be on the lookout for when I re-read the final edition ?

I thought the fun was in finding them yourself.

You're probably right; I was thinking I needed a hint because I didn't even notice them in the eArc at all :-)

The Kindle edition has quite a few missing words, mostly dialogue starting new paragraphs. Is there a good place to report such? Baen's contact page and FAQ do not provide an answer, and I've had no response from the tech support address in the past.

Well, that sucks.

Do you have a list or something else that I can pass on to the techs? I'm assuming that you're not a member of Baen's Bar.

I'm happy to see more of Kara (as well as norbears). Hevelin seems to be very well-traveled.

Thank you for the bonus of Landed Alien, and for Dragon Ship which I bought and read in one gulp last night I will read it again more slowly to savour every scene later, but I was anxious to know what happened. As always you've left me wanting more, so please don't leave us in suspense too long. I know that for the reasons you've explained previously we won't be getting the next instalment soon, but please don't leave it any longer than absolutely necessary.
