Y'all know what Tuesday is, right?

...I can't hear you...

Y'all know what Tuesday is, right?

Tuesday is Dragon Ship's Book Day!

Yes.  Yes it is.

But do you know what else happens on Tuesday?

Besides, yanno, having to go back to work/school full-time forever and ever?

Lean close.

Tuesday is the day that every single Liaden Universe® novel ever committed -- from Agent of Change to Dragon Ship! -- will be released by Audible.com.

One of the more fun things we got to do lately was interview each of the four sequence narrators -- Steve interviewed Kevin Collins and Eileen Stevens, and I interviewed Bernadette Dunne and Andy Caploe.

We'll be posting those interviews -- I'm talking high-class, audio interviews, now, done by people who know what they're doing -- on Korval.com between now and Monday night, as a sort of warm-up for the main celebrations, on Tuesday.

The first interview -- Steve and Kevin -- is up now, right here.

The first interview is great. Steve and Kevin bounced ideas back and forth until it began to be an issue of "who was interviewing whom"! You might want to warn people just how long the interviews are -- about 50 minutes for this one -- so that they could set aside an appropriate chunk of time. Once these guys start bouncing the ball back and forth between them, you won't want to interrupt your listening to turn the lamb chops!

Oh woe and lament! Audible is part of Spamazon : (
Given that I have a policy of never voluntarily giving money to Spamazon, will there be an alternative source anytime?

Yes, this question has been on my mind too. In my case, not because Amazon owns Audible, but because of the DRM Audible uses. Will there be a way for those of us who don't use Audible to partake? Say, an MP3 CD release, or an eMusic audiobook?

I think not? Baen placed the books, so I don't have details. But I'd expect the contract is exclusive.

Yay

Burton from Montreal

Apparently small stock of the book is available in the 2 major Chapters/Indigo stores in downtown Montreal as of yesterday. At least according to their web site availability feature.

Am waiting for my batch of signed copies from Uncle Hugo.
