But what if, instead, we get Daav and Jen Sar in different bodies?
That would rather render Aelliana's seed pod redundant. Unless she gets to be Jen Sar? I think she'd have more than a few difficulties doing that, not to mention that Daav discovered that Jen Sar was gone a short while before the problems with Pod 78.

Darn, I was working from memory and forgot that one of the seed pods was for Aelliana. Back to the drawing board.

I don't count Jen Sar being gone as insurmountable though. I'm sure that finding out what has happened to him will be part of the continuation of Kamele's storyline.
