Trying to get this all in one place...

1.  September 30:  Start reading A Night in the Lonesome October.  Do you know where your hellhound is?

2. October 4:  Triumphant return from Temp Headquarters

3.  Sign 1500 sheets of paper; mail to Baen no later than October 18

4.  October 30:  Essay due at BenBella

5.  November 6:  VOTE

6. December 10:  Short story due at Baen

7.  February 15:  Carousel Sun due at Baen

8.   May 15:  Carousel Sea due at Baen

9.  July 15:  First of Five (oh, isn't that fortuitous?) due at Baen

...and, yanno, Life and stuff.

Well.  That ought to keep me off the streets, if not precisely out of trouble...

Once again I will try to read A night in Lonesome October one chapter each night. Seriously I should start early since I don't want to travel with it and I will be at World Fantasy at the end of the month.

Do you know where your hellhound is?

I have the smaller more efficient 6 pound Hellcat. He is currently plotting against me while he sits in the windowsill.

I looked up "A Night in the Lonesome October" by Roger Zelazny around this time last year too only to find out that it's out of print and so even used very expensive even on Abe Books which is usually reasonable. Since this novel has a huge following I wish that it would be reprinted by some nice book company.

Hi, much as I try not to use Amazon, they do have used copies of A Night... for $6.plus. For some reason used hard bound copies are cheaper than used paperbacks. Go figure. I love the fact that Sharon and Steve read this aloud each year, revisiting old favorites just as we read and re-read their work.
Wish I could instantly move you both to a place by the sea with lots of room for walks and less need for snow plowing. Have to leave room for the bulbs to bloom as well.
Please don't hurt your arm/hand with all the book signing. Kathy

Yes, noticed that Amazon and Ab e Books is selling "A Night in the Lonesome October:" used but,.....with the shipping added on is more than I like to pay for a used book. I haven't checked on Ebay. I'll go do that.

Yikes

The starting bid on Ebay is $9.99. That's without shipping. Anyone have an idea how one asks the publishing industry to reprint a book?. I'll pay more for a new copy.
