After reading the title, I had to think "wait, they're invading <A HREF='http://www.davidmswitzer.com/slonczewski/">Joan Slonczewski's universe</A>?"

Thinking specifically of her book 'Brain Plague'.

Sadly not familiar with Ms. Slonczewski's work. However Eleutherios is a fine old Greek word for liberty, or, more specifically, "the liberating spirit."
