Thanks to those who shared their current reading.  My TBR pile is going to be getting taller, I see...

Yesterday, I visited with the physical therapist, and today I'm stiff; more fun on Thursday, and! a hearing test on Friday.

My father lost his hearing, but we all just figured it was because he worked in a noisy hell of a factory -- he was a spot-welder at General Motors -- before ear protection was mandatory.  Now, it looks like it might be a hereditary thing.  Or, yanno, I could blame all those tapes I transcribed as a secretary, with the earphones on three and four hours a day.  Or the hours wasted listening to rock 'n roll music. . .

As some of you know, Steve and I will be at Book Expo America, as guests of Baen Books/Simon and Schuster.  We'll be signing Necessity's Child and the first half (heh-heh-heh) of Trade Secret at Table 10 in the Big Signing Arena on Saturday, June 1, from 11 a.m. to noon.  We'll also likely be spending some time at Booth 2638, and!  Baen will be hosting a Meet and Greet for us on Friday, May 31, from 4-6 p.m.

Here's the invitation:

BEA Invitation-2013-Lee and Miller

If you're attending BEA, we hope you'll join us.

EDITED TO ADD:  It has been brought to our attention that there are pirated Lee and Miller ebooks on an offshore site.  Each ebook downloaded from this site includes malware. Here's a tip on keeping your computer free of malware -- buy the books; don't support pirates, because they surely don't support you -- or us.

I'll be at BEA, but I tend to get tired and go home early.

Knowing that turn in dates are not publication dates...do you have pub dates yet for those books that have been turned in?

There is a hereditary hearing loss thing, but then again, you may just have wax buildup. My BFF thought she was losing her hearing but the doc took one look and told her she had a lot of wax buildup in her ears. She grumbled about having to put the wax drops in every night and it was messy, and etc., etc., but then her hearing started improving . . .now she's a believer. Hope that's all your problem is.

I'd blame the headphones, particularly if the hearing loss is in the range for normal speech.

End of May (rats for it being the busiest time of year for me). Have a wonderful time.

I can sympathize with the earphone thing - I used to have to transcribe for long periods of time as well and tended to get a weird reverb in my head if I had both of the pieces in - so I just used only one side.

Thanks for the publication updates which I can add to the list o' books to be ordered. One question - what do the "Constellations" consist of. I somehow missed the explanation and can't seem to find it in an obvious spot on the Baen website.

The Constellations are collections of the short stories. There's a link in the sidebar of this page. :)

I don't remember where I saw the contents list posted, but IIRC Constellation One has the stories from the first eight chapbooks, plus "Sweet Waters" (which for some reason didn't get into a chapbook at the time).
