I think if Cantra had bad eyes she wouldn't have been allowed to survive childhood. If she were allowed to survive it would be because she had corrective surgery.

I had that happen once, and in attempting to fish it out I tore it into three pieces in my eye. Which I then had to fish out separately. I wept through the entire process, and not by choice.

I think I stopped wearing contacts for a year after that. :P
