Thanks for the alert! I'm going to be smart and wait until Sunday morning to buy my copy - got stuff to do and places to be before then and I know I won't be able to stay focused if I know that book is sitting ... right ... there ...
Very good and makes me regret all five promised Liaden books are sequels to Dragon Ship - there are several plot threads where I want to know What Happens Next.
It's an interesting point of view from which to see Uncle, too.
(checks) I believe the January 11th post had the most specifics, including turn-in dates. (Sharon was at some pains - prudently, given the eagerness of their fan base - to emphasize the authors do not control, or have any information about, dates other than when they've promised drafts to the publisher.)

Specifically, Sharon said: "Those five books, in their entirety, comprise the "sequel" to Dragon Ship. Yes, it IS complicated." So I can hope the complications give me more information about Jethri and his time.
OK, please tell Steve to keep typing. I don't want to wait another ten years for the next installment. This was so good, and I really like title. I just want more, please.
Hi Sharon, I know you and Steve work together on all the Liaden books. Didn't mean to leave you out of my last post. You are an incredible writing team. Thank you both for all your work. Just wish you could get the cats to help you edit (or type?) so we would have more to read. There are good and even great authors out there, but you have a rare and unique style of writing and I really look forward to each new article, interview, short story or novel. Truly.
Actually, some books are more Steve books and some books are more Sharon books. For the contract that included Dragon Ship, Trade Secret, and Necessity's Child, Steve did, indeed, do the bulk of the work on Dragon Ship and Trade Secret, so I could (mostly) write Necessity's Child and then "squeeze in" the two Carousel books.
