The books are in Scarborough, which is to say, they're in a truck terminal in Portland, Maine. Penny the dispatcher believes they will be delivered Monday, sometime between 2 and 6 p.m. We Shall See...

In the meantime, it's snowing, though the weathercritters seem to have backed down from the previous forecast of up to 20 inches, and are now only calling for an accumulated snowfall of 6 to 10 inches. There's about 4 inches out there right now, after it's been snowing all night.

There's yet another interview in support of the Local Custom audiobook here, in case I forgot to say, which, with one thing another, I probably did. Also, for those who like shiny things -- pre-order the audiobook before March 19 from here, and get a pretty silver tree-and-dragon charm.

Oooo! I'm not one for audiobooks. Is there another way to buy the charm?

As far as I know, the charms are a promo for the book. But you could might write to the Buzzy Multimedia folks and ask: info@buzzymultimedia.com

I guess this means I should stop sitting by the mailbox.

And the weather has been good the past two days, too.

A kite festival! Today would be a wonderful day for a kite festival; the sky is blue, the sun is bright, there's a nice steady breeze. And, uh, a foot of snow on the ground.

*picturing the folks in their t-shirts and snowshoes, flying kites, sucking on peppermint-stick lemons, and eating fried dough...*
