And I'll Huff...
Saturday, April 24th, 2004 06:22 pmBoy is it windy! Our DJ buddy up there to Bangor was telling everyone within the sound of WKIT-FM that he woke up this morning to "serious snow" falling from the sky. Here, it rained a bit, and has been off-again, on-again blue sky and black. But the wind's the thing. The bouy bell off the back deck is ringing black doom. Leaves and dust and largish sticks are flying by the office window, and the trees in the back woods are throwing their limbs around like gospel singers. I'm reallyREALLY glad we have the new roof, windows, and doors.
Have not yet finished _In Camelot's Shadow_. Got distracted by a word-find game I brought home from the gym. I'm not a big word-find player, and sat for too long a time just staring at the page and the rows of unrelated letters. Then my brain, or my eyes -- or both -- went click and after that it was all too easy...
Worked a bit on the still-nameless, which now boasts slightly over 800 words. Going slow and careful on this one; it has such potential for becoming Meaningless Hash(tm). I'm pleased with the words currently in place, which comprise the first scene, more-or-less and do so make sense, so I suppose I'm Doomed. Surprise.
Back to the chair, the book, and into the evening!
