Eagles Over the Kennebec

The news came over the Friends of Liad list today that Vicki Brown has died. This is wrong on more levels than I have the heart to enumerate. Vicki was an intensely interested person, full of opinions and sass. She preferred that her numerous good works went unremarked -- and really would rather not have concerned anyone with her "little difficulty," as she referred to the cancer that killed her. I liked her a lot and I'm not very happy with the Powers That Be at the moment.
