Those who can't wait until May 2 to find out what happens in The Gathering Edge, may purchase the eArc (with all its flaws and warts) directly from Baen ebooks.  (Yes, the authors receive royalties on eArc sales.)  Here's your link.

In other news, a Humongous Winter Storm is headed for the Cat Farm, with a predicted fall of heavy snow from 14-18 inches.  I will, therefore, be going into town to take on supplies just as soon as I finish this blog entry.

Everybody stay safe.

We're under the same storm watch, and have determined that the "Don't Be an Idiot" clause is now in effect, which means that Himself will not be driving from here to Manchester on Wednesday afternoon, and most likely will be staying over at the Groveton Ambulance Station on Tuesday night.

Out of curiosity, I went to Google Maps to see where Uncle Hugo's was in Mpls, given that I lived there for a few years in my early life. When I went to Street View, I was very surprised to see, when cruising by, that there was a direction arrow pointing at the front door. Imagine my surprise when via Google Street View, I could go inside Uncle Hugo's and, in a manner of speaking, tour the store!

I checked to see if the bookstore in Santa Cruz had that feature, but it didn't. However, the store across the street did. I wonder if a store has to pay to get that feature ...

Way far south of both of you, but waiting for Snowpocalypse 2017 to begin Any Minute Now. Already done grocery/toilet paper run, and had obligatory "oh DAMN I forgot!" moment upon returning home. Store is too far away to venture out again. The barn is as far as I'm gonna go.

While ya'll are having a Snowpocalypse, we're going to be up in the 80's Wed, Thurs and Fri. I almost feel guilty. Trade you some of our wildfires for some of that snow. We could use the precip down here in the square bit at the top of Tx. You'll be out shoveling and I'll be out watering. Hunker down and stay safe.

Snow expected

and they must be also ice skating in Hell. My company has re-enforced the State Wide Travel ban, and I think that means I have a "snow day".

However, my one work meeting will be happening. It is always a dial in anyhow.

My one last minute purchase was 'gas' and I haven't seen a line like that since..... several years anyway.

I bought my Milk-TP run on Sunday.

I've told my snow removal agency to come before 7AM tomorrow, and I expect to owe them big bucks, yes $$$

They better come this time! Last time I had to shovel myself out to go to work (I have a power shovel. This works as far as it's power cord will stretch.)
