Later that same day
Thursday, August 18th, 2005 07:42 pmTwo movies arrived in the mail from Netflix: Kiki's Delivery Service and Finian's Rainbow. Not sure how well Finian is going to hold up after 37 years, but I absolutely loved it when I saw it new in the theaters (the movie, this would be, not the play); and dern near wore out the soundtrack record. We shall see. I'm really enjoying Netflix, and the (enormously) greater selection of classics, foreign films, anime, documentaries -- just about everything, actually. Never going back to Movie Gallery, me.
Did a spot of cleaning here, a bit of bookkeeping there, and noodled somewhat at the TFW, in which the big news was that my viewpoint has finally told me what it is that she does. Since what she does is sorta vital to the plot, this was a relief.
We may have to close the windows tonight. Well, OK -- not all the windows.
Progress of TFW
