Two movies arrived in the mail from Netflix: Kiki's Delivery Service and Finian's Rainbow. Not sure how well Finian is going to hold up after 37 years, but I absolutely loved it when I saw it new in the theaters (the movie, this would be, not the play); and dern near wore out the soundtrack record. We shall see. I'm really enjoying Netflix, and the (enormously) greater selection of classics, foreign films, anime, documentaries -- just about everything, actually. Never going back to Movie Gallery, me.

Did a spot of cleaning here, a bit of bookkeeping there, and noodled somewhat at the TFW, in which the big news was that my viewpoint has finally told me what it is that she does. Since what she does is sorta vital to the plot, this was a relief.

We may have to close the windows tonight. Well, OK -- not all the windows.

Netflix is good.

I have to admit that having it has decreased the amount of books I read though.

That hasn't been the case here, so far. The thing is that movies are quick, condensed Vitamin Story, which is sometimes exactly what an overwrought writing brain needs.

I'd say that applies to any overwrought brain, writing or not. The thing with me is that before I signed up with Netflix, there just plain wasn't anything to watch here unless my sister was home from college.(I gave her my unused TV when she went away to school. Netflix let me watch things on my computer, which led to me deciding I needed a TV again, since the bedroom is so much more comfortable for waching than my desk. Not having anything to watch meant that entertainment consisted of reading. As much as I love reading, a greater variety of entertainment is a good thing. I've been watching some of the science fiction TV shows that I've missed over the years too.

I performed in that play as a wee sprat. It was a high school production, when my sisters were in high school.

Although that's all I recall about it.
