Updating the Updates, with Weather

rolanniThe vet called this morning, as promised. Despite spending all yesterday and overnight in the incubator, Patia's temperature is still very low. She's lethargic and has awakened a lively anxiety in her physician by the lack of any attempt whatsoever to unman him. We're to call between 8 and 8:30 tomorrow morning for another update.
We've spent a quiet day, enlivened briefly by the demise of the washing machine.
It snowed in the morning to the tune of a couple inches; thunder at lunchtime, and then a changeover to a mix of snow and sleet, boo! hiss!
I finally finished the chapter I've been working on for the last couple days, which nudges the word count over 13,000. Hope to be able to add words over the next couple weeks, mandatory overtime or not.
Hope everyone who celebrates is having a lovely Thanksgiving. Remember to tell the people who are important to you that you love them.
