Posting from the road

We left, waving goodbye to Mary and the cats, at 8:15, in the teeth of a mixed snow-and-rain storm. The wind blowed and the snow snowed basically the whole way down, with a brief respite as we swung 'round Boston. Kinzel drove the worst of it and kept us on the road and moving. We are now safely arrived at the Albany train station, albeit slightly early, and hey! *I'm posting to LJ via Sabu and the station's wifi*! How cool is that?

The rain, he says, was over by the time we started; the only thing coming out of the sky was snow and ice... and wind, sometimes enough wind to satisfy the "blizzard conditions" line on the "are we having fun yet" chart.

We had a chance to observe a wonderful transformation of the sky from near-white-out to ultra blue... with blowing snow obscuring the sunlit sky from time to time as we moved from Western Mass. into Eastern NY...

Argent did a heck of a job; in some section of the trip we saw multiple cars off the road within a few hundred yardsofr each other... but Argent felt stable even when some of the 4wd jeeps were squirreling around on the road nearby.
