...in which no writing went forth.

I'd intended to take Sabu with me and do a little writing in the truck, but when I pushed the on button -- yep, battery dead. Poor little machine; I never remember to keep it charged.

So, anyway and as advertised elsewhere, [livejournal.com profile] kinzel and I undertook a road trip to deepest Keene, New Hampshire, where SRM business -- and also lunch -- went forth with Judith Klein-Dial, the lovely and gracious owner of Genre, Ink. We arrived back home late, late, and fried. The round trip was something on the order of ten hours. Meredith, New Hampshire, is beautiful this time of year. Heck, most of New Hampshire is beautiful almost any time of the year.

Back to the usual schedule today. Coffee's done and the bagel's toasting, after which it's gym, the post office, and -- writing.

I am The Sun

In the tarot the Sun symbolizes vitality and splendor. The Sun is definitely not a meek and retiring card. You have total confidence in yourself. You are not cocky, but profoundly sure of your power. You have unlimited energy and glow with health. You have a greatness about you and stand out brilliantly. Finally, you see and understand all that is happening within your sphere. When you see this card, know that you will be successful at all you undertake. Now is the time to let your light shine.

I find that I am of insufficient geekiness to figure out something that ought to be (she said naively) Dead Easy.

Can anyone walk me through the process for changing the "current music" option to "currently reading"?

(Yes, yes, I'm writing! You can't tell?)

Did research, made notes for, and drafted a hand-out to accompany next week's talk to the University of South Maine's "Women in SF" class, then got with the story again.

Project: Lord of the Dance
New Words Written: 502, plus a little tinking upstream
Total Words: 1966
Reason for stopping: End of a rather stressful little scene, lots of Heavy Liaden Protocol in play. Worked out a number of future bits, including the moves for the Big Payoff, while doing the gym thing today, which is kinda like writing ahead, but without a word counter.

And, since I haven't yet figured out the "value" business over in Edit Your Style...
