rolanni: (walk in the snow)
Barred owl in the back woodlot this morning.  Gone now, but exciting while he was here.  The shot below is either Steve's or mine, since for various complex reasons, we wound up sharing an SD card.

Remember when the worst that could happen to your camera was that you ran out of film?

rolanni: (Caffeine Deadline)
I've negotiated a four-day week at the day-job until March 15, which is the deadline for turning in Longeye. Hopefully, this will result in (lots and lots and lots) of increased productivity. Also, I'm within hailing distance of the place where, once achieved, a Whole Lot of the Rest is Forced. This will also, hopefully, speed things up.

On the way home from work last evening, I stopped by the lab to give the vamps their tithe of blood. My reward was a call from the doctor's office this afternoon, with the information that TSH is 3.0 with the new meds. I am, so the nurse would have it, Good To Go. Eventually, I will need to achieve a new prescription form so I can take advantage of the drugs-by-mail program offered by the health insurance, which will apparently save a bit more on the cost.

Having been to the vamps, I wasn't much good for anything else the rest of the night, so Steve and I watched Stardust, which was wonderful fun. The ghost Greek chorus made the film for me, and I very much adored the lightning harvester.
