Sunday into Monday

It snowed Saturday night -- just a couple three inches -- and spent most of Sunday melting. Steve worked on _Crystal Soldier_; I read _Monstrous Regiment_, which well done and funny enough, though I was pretty tired of the unmaskings by the time we got to Sgt. Jackrum. A nice, writerly, stay-at-home day. Mozart tried sitting on my lap for a while, but he doesn't really get this "book" business, and *much* prefers sitting where he can watch a screen.
This morning did the gym thing, took late orders and accidents to the embroiderer, picked up the mail, visited the bank to deposit the checks gotten in the mail, came home and answered email, including a request from the audiobook folks (still no hint of who might be reading _Local Custom_, alas), ate dinner, made the appointment to visit the vampires tomorrow morning and am now Officially Procrastinating. Won't help though. The story has to be rewritten and the soonest begun, the soonest done, as someone sapient once said. Or, likely more to the point: A job well done never has to be done again. And that'll larn me.
