AVG Free has been located, installed, updated, and immediately put to work scanning for viruses. Norton anti-virus has been consigned to the closet and an email sent to customer service requesting my money back.
I also gave up on Symantec this year. I had the 2002 version on my computer and I liked it, but they said I couldn't renew it and had to get the updated version. Okay, I did. My computer now runs so dreadfully slow and clunky. Oh, my goodness, it's annoying. So I just bought a new system, and went with PC Cillin (because I find Macafee equally clunky and horrifying). The new program is far less intrusive, more intuitive, and doesn't keep telling me that SOMETHING IS TERRIBLY WRONG when it doesn't like the settings I've created. And it doesn't take up as much space in the tray, and it doesn't pop up and bother me as much, and it has a better anti-spam system for my email, and . . . well, I hope you like yours better too.
