Thanks, everyone, for the birthday wishes. [livejournal.com profile] kinzel provided a day at the ocean, with Italian for lunch, though not, alas, tiramisu. We picked up a couple slices of cheesecake on the way home and they made a fine and celebratory statement.

I have now, I note, been married for more than half my lifetime.

High tide at Wells Beach was wicked high (this is, I think, a technical term). I can testify that the marsh waters were but three feet below the surface of the causeway, and that the Beach in Wells was not evident at all. We did venture down the stairs to where the beach usually is (because, well, risk-taking is my middle name. ahem), only to be seriously splashed by non-trivial breakers halfway down.

We're home now, to find that the power had gone out for Some Time. Me, I'm going to go re-set some clocks and then I think I'll lounge on the sofa and...read.

I was thinking of you on and off today - hoping that it was a day of magic and joy - September gold like liquid amber. It sounds lovely.

Happy Birthday Sharon!

I meant to get that out earlier, but my life kept me away from the computer ALL DAY!
I figured you and Kinzel would be off celebrating anyway.
Thus did I send you the TIDE of Gladdings.
hehehe

Best!

Happy (somewhat late) birthday, Sharon. I meant to get to this earlier, but at the end of a long day, the last thing I wanted to do was sit at the computer. Glad it was lovely and relaxing.

With all good wishes for your birthday, this year and from now on. You have only been married for about 1/2 your lifetime? There is probably a smart way to figure out your age and length of marriage from that, but I don't know it. I have been married considerably longer than my lifetime, and am not sure of the fractions involved. My husband keeps asking if the marriage will last, to which I reply, "You've heard the saying, enough is enough?"
