Had a lovely visit down south with [livejournal.com profile] elektra_h, her charming husband, Mike, and of course the lovely and talented Z, and his buddy, Socks.

Also, I am pleased to be able to confirm that the Atlantic Ocean is exactly where we left it in September.

The coming week looks to be somewhere between Hectic, and Really Hectic, what with Forms to Fill Out (sigh), dental appointments to be kept, work to start, story to rewrite and galleys to finish.

I would like to direct everyone's attention to the House Rules now enumerated on the sidebar. Don't make me turn Anonymous Posting off, 'k?

I'll be checking in as can. In the meantime, make yourselves at home.

Do I hafta?

Can't I be shared turtlish, or maybe dragonish, or elfin, or . . .

Do I hafta be sharing humanity? The milk of that kindness has been kinda curdled recently, y'a know?

Okay, I'll try. But holding it down to that level - I'm sure we could do better as pebbles! Yeah, let's share our essence as pebblish.

(Just joking, y'all take care now, y'a hear?)

Thanks for the warning. I forgot last time, perils of aging. My mother-in-law used that a lot, told a doctor who said her problems were of old age, she said not old, but older, or aging. Considering she kept her own apartment until she was 94, that wasn't bad. Her son, who is 80 now, intends to be in this house till he dies. Personally, I hate all the steps, split-level. Have fun with the job. Is it LL again? I might get you on the phone when I place an order!

Also, if I ever write, planned on using Flosdottir as a nom de plume.

It's easy to forget, and wouldn't be a problem, except some folks apparently lack the courage of their convictions. I mean, honestly, if you've (universal 'you') just said something that you're ashamed to sign your name to, that oughta be A Clue.

Considering she kept her own apartment until she was 94,

My grandmother didn't quite make it to 94. She did, however, go blind, and successfully made the argument that she should be allowed to stay in a place where she knew the location of every piece of furniture and knick-knack than removed to a completely strange location where she would be helpless.

Yup, back to Bean, me. You might get me on the phone; in a random universe, anything is possible. The odds are against it, though. There are three call centers of +/- 300 people each per shift, and incoming calls are dealt out to Any Open Line. I'd hesitate to calculate the number of Sharons on the phone on any given shift. It's a pretty common name among a certain age cohort.
