Finished the too-long, inarticulate version of the synopsis last night. Man I hate writing synopses (all together now: Awwwwwwww). [livejournal.com profile] kinzel is kindly going over it now, pen in hand, and may he strike out much and well.

Paid bills this morning until I ran out of money (um, oops?), and need to make a post office run in a few minutes. This afternoon will no doubt be dedicated to reworking the dern synopsis, so that it and a freshly printed manuscript can be boxed and on the bus to Madame the Agent on Monday.

Then, I get to relax *insert hollow laughter*.

I note that for the second day in a row, it's bright and sunshine-y outside. Is that allowed?

...and here comes [livejournal.com profile] kinzel, pages in hand...

Sigh. I've finished mine too. Going into the mail today for Mme Agent, who will hopefully do the red pen thing and tell me what to fix. This one is for a six book series, and the first I've tried in that sort of length. At least the first two books are written. Very drafty, but written.

One of those requests for radio Rolanni?

Sometime when you want to shed some more light on the glamorous innards of collaborative writing, maybe you could explain who adds those cliffhangers at the end? My impression is that several of your works have the and-they-all-lived-happily-ever-after moment interrupted by a figure in leathers carrying a message which is hard to explain, or something similar. And here I am as a reader wondering when I might find out what that was all about. I really enjoy it, but I was wondering if I should thank you, your partner in words, or perhaps the cats? Bullwinkle Moose and Flying Squirrel, or Dudley Doowrite?

Not right now, you're relaxing. When the inner editor feels like fessing up.

..........or perhaps to CUSS you, because our mentality has been conditioned toward more immediate gratification than can be managed while waiting for the next installment!
By the time I got to them, all the other great serialized books were already available upon the completed reading of the previous book.

The NERVE of these new writers, (you and JK Rowling, MZ Bradley and the like) to make us .........WAIT!?! for the next one! How is one supposed to continue a regular, modestly sane life, while wondering what will become of our newest heroes?

Is there a support group for this kind of anxiety?
What about a class-action suit to make you write faster?
Some other incentive that would be more motivating??
Name it! It shall be yours! (As soon as I can make it so.)
