Sometimes it assists me in being able to breathe, which is pretty basic, and can make me feel just fine. Only pity any other unfortunate souls around me. When I take prednisone, I have a clearer understanding of crazy, I think.

Aargh!! Yeah, I detest Prednisone . . . I mean, it does what it's supposed to, but the side effects are godawful. On the other hand, not being able to breathe is infinitely worse.

Don't know if it's an issue for you, but you may want to keep a close eye on your blood pressure for the duration. That stuff can lead to unpleasant rises with even worse outcomes.

Prednisone can indeed be your enemy! It made my husband tremendously angry and depressed to the point of hospitalization - that was many years ago and he's fine now! And it has dreadful long-term side effects. Hope you find a better cure fast and feel much better soon!

As everybody else has said -- prednisone is more like your unsteady and touchy ally. And yet, I have... umm... 3 family members who'd probably have died if they hadn't gotten some at the right moments. Plus me. So I'm really glad it's around.
