A few questions have been floating around in my head... 1. Why during the time of Jela & Cantra did The Tree have more obvious communication with them than The Tree does with the current descendents? 2. You've always been great with character development..when are you going to write Nelirik"s (spell?) and Nova's stories? FYI - am sending several orders & Fledging support via mail. Thanks, Lorna Stutz
Could it also have to do with being in a pot versus growing in a hillside? I mean, if I were being carted around in a pot subject to various events I might very well pay more attention than when allowed to sink my roots deep in a hillside and tower over an entire valley.
While the mobile life of a bonsai tree is all very well and good for a time, the al fresca relaxation of being lord of all I survey allows for a different perspective -- and different discourses?
Also, don't forget the way Cantra fussed the Tree out for blatant genetic manipulation. Iirc, she told it to be more sure of what it was doing, before acting so directly [owtte]. Maybe the Tree is just following her excellent counsel, letting Korval develop more-or-less on its own, & intervening directly infrequently.

Hmm. The Tree seems to talk to Daav -- and to Anthora. I take as my text Scout's Progress and I Dare.

Thank you!
