My keyboard blew up, spectacularly, taking the contents of my inbox with it into the flames.
Yeah, yeah, I know. Keyboards cost $9.99 at Staples. This keyboard cost three hundred small and made it possible for me to write without pain. Damn it! Keyboard, macros, mail -- poof!
Yeah, yeah. The Art Ephemeral. Somebody call Edger...

Date: 2007-07-15 03:19 pm (UTC)Old keyboard breaks down (s key stuck). Buy nice new keyboard with good collapsing spring switches. I get it in the evening, try it for a few minutes and go to bed.
The next day, while I'm at work, my teenage step-daughter spills a cup of water on it and fries it.
I order another keyboard just like it. In a few days it arrives. She didn't spill a glass of water on in it this time, she spilled a cup of soda on it the day after it arrived.
She's now forbidden to carry any liquids into the room where my computer is.
