Date: 2007-07-19 11:06 pm (UTC)I loved The Golden Compass and thought The Subtle Knife finely done. I had serious problems with The Amber Spyglass, though, and don't expect to read it Ever Again; it came this close to ruining the other two books for me.
I do wonder why these books are filed under fantasy, instead of science fiction.
