Times, They Are A-Changing
Part One: Ace Books is reissuing the first 10 original Liaden Universe® novels...but we're seeing (and hearing!) different dates for the reissue to begin. Amazon.com thinks it start in November, but apparently bn.com thinks the reissue starts the end of October. Do watch the skies, check the bookstores, and tell your friends, please!

Part Two: SRM Publisher Ltd is shifting base of operations -- those of you who watch addresses may have noticed that the Unity PO Box has given way to the new address of PO Box 707, Waterville, ME 04903 as part of the change. The second phase is to move the basic packing, shipping, and storage out of the basement and into an actual office, also in Waterville.

While this is going on we'll be working from open boxes and moving the still sealed ones AND THIS IS WHERE YOU COME IN. Not moving these open box books by the truckload and box load will save us both time and energy (these boxes weigh a ton!), so starting today we're doing something about it. Yes, just in time for holiday gift-giving SRM Publisher will be having an Open Box sale which will last until we're finished moving, or until November 7. Use coupon code Openbox on our catalog pages at www.srmpublisher.com, for any one order, and save 20% off our regular prices on existing stock. Alas, the Openbox coupon code is not good for Eidolon pre-orders. The code is Openbox, use it wisely, and tell your friends!

Part Three: Some of you have noticed that with life happening we're a little behind
schedule on both Fledgling and Saltation. The good folks at Baen have noticed this too and with their agreement we'll be adjusting the turn-in time on both Saltation and the next Liaden book. As soon as we know what those new publication dates are we'll let everyone know.

On the Road Again
Sharon Lee and Steve Miller will be Literary Guests of Honor at StellarCon33 -- March 13-15, 2009 in High Point, NC.

Fellow GoHs will be: Tim "Uncle Timmy" Bolgeo, Fan Guest of Honor; William Stout,Artist Guest of Honor; John Wick, Gaming Guest of Honor. Luminaries we know and want to see again include Lee Martindale, Allen Wold, and Mike Pederson, and there'll be buncha other folks we're
looking forward to meeting.

Mark your calendars! Get your membership for the convention! Tell your friends!

More Watch the Skies!
SRM Publisher will be publishing Double Vision, a trade paper collection of Steve and Sharon's other short work. Watch this newsletter and the SRM Publisher website for more developing news!

I've been tracking and promoting cyberfunded creativity projects like those for several years now. I'll post a note about the planned portal over on [livejournal.com profile] cyberfund_creat and other people are encouraged to post news like this too.

Thanks for the prodding. I've ordered another copy of Partners for a friend who just discovered you (by way of my bookshelf). I'm certain you know, but in case it slipped your mind, your "How did you hear about us?" drop-down is unpopulated.

Thanks for the discount, I ordered two books forthwith. I guess that Laura Underwood's book won't return since it seemed to be one of the old Meisha Merlin editions.

I'll need to check the supplies here and check with Laura to see if she has more; the thing is that with the move in process I'm not sure what's where in terms of the non-SRM Publisher books.
