Big Box

Did Steve send the "Big Box" out for repairs?
Or buy a new one?
If it is new, I am envious. I did splurge and buy myself a 22 inch Monitor/TV for Christmas. Nice. I did not even know they made TV’s with DVI connections until a friend told me about it.

Big box is working as long a I use a LiveCD on it -- which means the drive is gone, and the fans now both sound like the ratatatatata of distant machine gus .... with this being the third "OMG I've lost everything" incident with this floor-model from Staples Sony Vaio I've given up and ordered in a brand new whitebox. I haven't built a machine from scratch in a few years so as tempting as that was ... I may do a refrib of the old machine into a linux box as time permits.
