Amending the foregoing list of five to read:

1. Congratulations, Hilary.

2. Thanks for all the comments on the web serialization post.

3. We have Longeye cover flap copy to go over, so, the book can't be far behind!

4. Trying to use iGoogle to get organized. I used to be organized. Wonder what happened there?

5. Been late for work every day this week. Going for five and five.

1) Secretary is a prominent and desired post amongst diplomatic staff -
visit any embassy anywhere. Of any country, not just the US'
And yeah, rock on Hilary - keep 'em guessing
just so long as they keep their weapons holstered.

2) Interesting stuff and good points (sorry, have cold,
did not think fast enough to comment).

3) Yay??!!!

4) Organisation comes in waves. And goes in waves.
I'm told I'm organised. There are weeks when I
laugh at that.

5) It's the month. I think everyone is running
late for work.

I hope I have what you had as you seem to have
kicked it quickly - trying to recommend books
to people when you're on cold meds doesn't always
come out coherently. Which is bad.

Congratulations on all the book contracts
Lauretta

Trying to anything requiring more than half a brain cell while on cold meds is a challenge. I hope you feel better soon.

There seem to be a couple versions of Whatever It Is going around. Steve and I got off relatively lightly. The English secretary and one of my bosses are still hurtin'.

Yikes! I had thought schools pretty much universally gave MLK as a holiday. Evidently not. Sorry.

MLK Jr. day off

Rutgers uses the day as 'move back in day'-- the dorms open Monday, the classes start Tuesday. I suspect other schools also use the 'quasi-holiday' strategy.
