Today was payday, so I paid bills when I got home. Funny how a paycheck that takes 10 days to earn can be written down to nothing in under an hour.

Also managed a little bit of writing, which is good. Hands and wrists still miserable, sigh. I hadn't expected a two-poster day at the job, so that kinda put my Clever Plan to rest my hands at work into the trash can. Hopefully -- but no! I will say nothing regarding the morrow, lest I jinx what luck I have.

Speaking of luck, Daav sure has it, doesn't he? To understand why most of the "present day" members of Korval eye the luck askance, all you have to do is study Daav's life.

We're looking at minor amounts of snow on the overnight, followed by rain and sleet tomorrow. Boo! rain and sleet! Hiss!

Somewhere in the canon, there's a quote along the lines of, "We are Korval, and the luck swirls roughly about us"

This doesn't imply that it's always to their benefit, though sometimes clearly it is. For that matter, it doesn't even say that all the effects are on Korval. We see in other places that many boats are left rocking in the wake that Korval leaves in the luck as they pass by.
